So what do you want your one change to be?
- Don't check your e-mail 1 hour before bed time?
- Drink juice instead of coffee at breakfast?
- Replace white bread with whole grain?
- Eat a Trader Joe's Burrito instead of Taco Bell?
- Drink one more glass of water per day?
- Do abhyanga one day a week?
- Get to yoga class on Saturday morning?
- Sleep 15 minutes early?
- Call a loved one once a month?
- Bring lunch to work once a week?
- Stretch hourly at work?
Do you see what I'm getting at here? There are so many little changes you can make to improve your life, that it's doable to make just ONE! And who knows, you might be able to make a second change somewhere down the line!
Do you have the courage to get started?
Everything in our culture tells us to put others first, that you can look after yourself,
"once you get one more thing done."
Have the courage to invest in yourself. Have the courage to make just one change!

I've done a few of those things,I haven't noticed any tangible benefit,so I figured I did not change enough.I gave myself a pat of the back after reading your post,I should give myself more credit than beating myself up about not having tangible benefits, because there is benefit in exercising courage to change, not just the change/changes itself :)
I agree wholeheartedy!!!! Well spoken, you are a wise woman! :D
I've been meaning to do this, and have already started. I was thinking back over the past couple of years, thinking, "I could have done this and that, and been a lot better off by now."
Things are as they are, Angela. I'd just focus on the present without giving too much attention to how things could have been.
I just came across your blog and you are right about the one change at a time. I just recently decided not to snack after dinner. Very hard at first but have lost 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Now I want to add 20 minutes of exercise a day. Baby steps.
That's awesome, knitting!
This is great, Caroline! With Saturn transiting my Venus and such and Mars in Virgo, I've been on this wavelength. Very much about diet. I've been trying to eat 6 raw fruits/vegetables a day (kinda been beating myself up when they're not organic), less bread (because of that new "Wheat Belly" book), and less meat. With Mars in Virgo it's really easy to beat oneself up, I think. I'm starting to think raw veganism is the solution to all this. I haven't budged that much, either. And I'm trying to work on my self esteem (by working on my diet, eventually yoga/meditation, exercise, WORK, and trying to fulfill some fancy Uranus in Aries dreams.) It's hard. Fact is, hard to love yourself when you're damn lonely anyway.
It is hard, Dina. It takes a brave person! Your changes sound great! Show yourself kindness by not beating yourself up!
